DescriptionThe Community Heritage service was established in 2011. Figures collected from April 2010 to November 2015 show that the service held 976 events which were attended by 15,718 visitors to libraries, museums and archives, delivered training, advice and support to 56 Heritage Lottery funded community projects, supplied 1445 digital images, answered 688 email enquiries and delivered training to 335 staff and volunteers. Major projects the service worked on included Changing Tracks, WW1, The History of Roller Skating and Lancashire's Criminal Past.

Due to the reorganisation of the council the service was cut in 2016. This material was deposited by the Community Heritage service in March 2016 and serves as a reflection of the activities carried out by the service and its staff.
